SATURDAY BAND

Bog Bards
Slovenia 9:00 p.m.
The Bog Bards are a band of young, enthusiastic musicians driven by a passion for Irish culture and inspired by the myth of the bards, those wandering poets who told ancient stories and legends. With a deep love for tradition, this band manages to take its listeners on a unique musical journey, blending positive energy with deep roots in the music and poetry of Ireland.
Their music is a celebration of sounds and stories that transport the mind to the green Irish woods, across enchanted meadows, where everyday thoughts dissolve under the majestic shade of ancient oaks. Every note played on the violin, flute, bodhran, and double bass tells a story that is rooted in Celtic tradition, yet carries a modern soul that wraps around and enchants.
Imagine being transported, through the melodies, to an Irish countryside pub, where the sound of the flute mingles with the clinking of glasses filled with beer and whiskey, and the atmosphere becomes lively with laughter and dance. Or picture entering the heart of the ancient Celts, reliving their deeds and stories through vibrant sounds that blend the past with the present.
But it is on stage that the Bog Bards reach the peak of their energy. The climax of their performance is when, at times, they are accompanied by some dancers who create festive choreographies and transport the audience to Ireland, in a spontaneous and collective experience.
The Bog Bards are not just a band; they are an invitation to experience the emotion of Irish music, to immerse yourself in a world where tradition, passion, and energy come together in an endless story.
SATURDAY BAND
Gens d'Ys
Italia - Lombardia / ore 22:30
Since 1993, A.S.D. Gens d'Ys has been synonymous with Irish dance in Italy.
Founded by a group of friends, it quickly became the first Italian academy dedicated to the traditional dances of the Emerald Isle.
Thanks to the contribution of new members, participation in lessons taught by Irish teachers, and especially by Sinead Venables, the vice-world champion, Gens d'Ys is now a widespread reality throughout Italy. In the 2022-2023 years alone, it had 35 active locations in 31 cities, not to mention the dozens of occasional locations where they are invited every year for workshops and courses. For 29 years, Gens d'Ys has been working tirelessly with many sacrifices to spread Irish dances, always remembering where and with whom it all started.
They have numerous collaborations with public and private institutions, associations, and commercial companies.
The academy has enjoyed the patronage of the Irish Embassy in Italy for many years for the events it organizes, as well as the patronage of several ministries over the years, and since 2011, the patronage of the Irish National Tourism Organization, of which it is an official ambassador.
The link between tradition and innovation in teaching and the shows they offer is made possible only by the true passion for Irish dance from both teachers and dancers, a passion that is fundamental to the existence of the association itself.
They present the unmissable Irish dance show for the 25th anniversary of Triskell, whose conclusion involves the audience in an inclusive whirlpool open to all.
