SATURDAY BAND

Daridel

Italy - Veneto / 9:00 pm

Daridel is a band from Northern Italy, presenting a paganfolk project, and they have previously performed on the Triskell stage.

Born in 2017 and formed by five elements, the band has produced two albums so far. Ranging from delicate harp and flute melodies on their first album “Forest Folk”, to bagpipes and aggressive tribal rhythms from the newly born “Pagan Roots”. Guided and united not only by music, but by ideals, actions and a common lifestyle, they choose to let nature sing through their instruments, from the calm of spring to the impetus of the cold winter winds. Different instruments come together to create new sounds, tribal rhythms intertwined with sweet melodies. Flutes and harps tell of fairies and elves. Aggressive bagpipes sing accompanied by the voice of the hurdy-gurdy. Immense drums make the spirits dance. Bones beat, woods rub, horns sound, as in a frantic song of  Nature. A continuous cycle of death and rebirth, of sweet and aggressive sounds that come together in a macabre song of life.
A journey through sounds mysterious and forgotten, ancient instruments; a path through the centuries of darkness and light of a pagan Europe. Tribal music contaminated by medieval sounds and by what we usually call Celtic music, pushes our wildest selves to emerge.

Daridel will open the evening, for a great Saturday night!

SATURDAY BAND

Irdorath

Belarus / 10:30 p.m.

This is a project from Belarus that creates its own musical world: noble and wild, dark and exciting, rich in Slavic legends, echoes of the Middle Ages, and folk music from various nations. The band has firmly established itself as a headliner at historical, folk, and ethno festivals in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).
Since 2024, they have been actively touring across Europe, conquering new territories with their show. The performance of Irdorath consists of equally powerful music and a striking visual appearance. The sound is based on aggressive medieval bagpipes, a powerful drum, the unique voice of a hurdy-gurdy, the sound of a cello and bouzouki, as well as unforgettable vocals. Visually, this is complemented by the images of the musicians, who have become a trademark.
Irdorath is an experienced team capable of shaking large festivals while maintaining the powerful sound of acoustic instruments. There are so many nuances in Irdorath's music that the band fits perfectly not only at medieval festivals but also at metal, gothic, fantasy, ethno, and world music festivals.
Irdorath is gaining strength, focusing on Central Europe, planning a major musical project dedicated to Belarusian mythology, and continuing on their path: "On the wings of the Dragon, forward to the Stars!"

Second performance of this band, for this great Saturday night.
