FRIDAY BAND

Solarcycles
Netherlands / 9:00 pm
Discover the captivating world of Solarcycles, a symphonic folk metal band from the Netherlands, formed in 2015. Led by the powerful voice of Sascha, whose vocal interpretations have been compared to legends like Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) and Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries), Solarcycles offers a unique fusion of symphonic metal and melancholic folk.
Deeply committed to environmental protection and in tune with nature, Solarcycles convey a message of emotional acceptance and connection with the world around us through their music. Their sound seamlessly blends the intensity of metal with elements of pagan folk, creating an immersive experience marked by the interplay of powerful guitar riffs and the evocative touch of classical folk violin.
Solarcycles' musical universe evokes the sounds of bands like Children of Bodom, Within Temptation, and Evanescence, appealing to a broad audience of symphonic and folk metal enthusiasts. Following the success of their debut EP *Ethereal Storms* (2017), the band entered a new phase with their album *Lunar*, released on October 27, 2023.
Each of their compositions is a musical journey that merges mysticism and transcendence, enchanting listeners with captivating melodies and powerful atmospheres.
“Their originality and uniqueness are evident. For their first release, Solarcycles have certainly created something truly extraordinary.” – Metal Temple
“The band’s sound is evident in every track of *Ethereal Storms*; a dark and exciting atmosphere that sets them apart in the folk metal landscape.” – IndiePulse Music
Solarcycles will make their debut in Italy, exclusively in Trieste, for the 25th anniversary of Triskell. Don't miss the chance to experience this unique event!
FRIDAY BAND
Irdorath
Belarus / 10:30 p.m.
This is a project from Belarus that creates its own musical world: noble and wild, dark and exciting, rich in Slavic legends, echoes of the Middle Ages, and folk music from various nations. The band has firmly established its status as a headliner at historical, folk, and ethno festivals in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).
Since 2024, they have been actively touring across Europe, conquering new territories with their show.
The performance of Irdorath consists of equally powerful music and a striking visual appearance. The sound is based on aggressive medieval bagpipes, a powerful drumbeat, the unique voice of a hurdy-gurdy, the sound of the cello and bouzouki, along with unforgettable vocals. Visually, this is completed by the musicians’ imagery, which has now become their trademark.
Irdorath is an experienced team capable of shaking up large festivals while maintaining a powerful acoustic instrument sound. There are so many nuances in Irdorath’s music that the band fits perfectly not only in medieval festivals but also in metal, gothic, fantasy, ethno, and world music festivals.
Irdorath is gaining strength, focusing on Central Europe, planning a major musical project dedicated to Belarusian mythology, and continuing on their journey: "On the wings of the Dragon, forward to the Stars!"
After their successful performance in 2024, they are returning to Trieste for two nights.
